Customization support is not built into our pricing, and is not offered with our themes.
Our themes are built with best practices built in, based on feedback from thousands of users and input from experts in SEO, pagespeed, accessibility and server performance.
When you start changing the default setup, you're creating a custom theme without the necessary experience to identify accessibility, SEO, pagespeed and user experience issues.
While there is room for customization, this requires guidance by experienced designers + developers. There are very, very few companies that are qualified to do this, and they charge $5,000+ minimum per project.

Why is accessibility important?
From a legal standpoint, businesses that offer things (including content) to the public are required to comply with accessibility requirements at many levels. In addition to your own city/state/country requirements, you'll often be liable for laws from countries where your visitors reside. Consult a lawyer for more details guidance on this.
From a moral standpoint, content should be available to all users, regardless of any disabilities or hinderances they may have. I don't know anybody that disagrees with this, but the amount of effort required to provide access can be extremely cumbersome. That's why we've done as much as possible to help you make your site technically accessible - however, there isn't a theme anywhere that can fully comply with accessibility requirements.
Finally, food blogging is extremely competitive which means that Google has MANY MANY sites to send people to, and accessibility is one of those factors that Google uses for ranking. Unfortunately, choosing a poorly contrasting font/background color (accessibility contrast issues) or font sizes (Google-issued mobile warnings) can contribute to Google choosing to rank someone instead of you.

Customizer
The customizer allows you to make changes to your site but without built in guardrails for SEO, pagespeed, accessibility or user experience. Using the customizer means that you're creating a custom theme, which is no longer our theme, and not one that we can support.
